Marianne Mccoy

I am a photographer who creates with many different kinds of cameras. Along with the cameras comes the creative photographic experience of 35 years. The use of both film and digital media coupled with the art of “seeing what others do not” has given me my successes. My background of growing up in a small town, my mother (a painter herself) who allowed me to colour on the walls, which enabled me to grow independent of the influences of others. My dreams of becoming a designer, drawing incessantly and the love of colours has given me the choices of how my images look today. I have shown my work internationally, nationally and locally as well as being published many times. Most recently, my work was awarded in PX3, IPA, Soho Photo Gallery, Larson Gallery, Analog Sparks and CFPA exhibitions. I believe, it’s never your camera that makes a great photograph, it is your developed eye and instinct that puts the image on paper.
